Record updated:

Shrub frequency, cover, and height, and herb frequency and cover were measured on plots from two Douglas-fir habitat types in three cutting units. The plots were measured prior to helicopter yarding and broadcast burning and then 1, 2, 5, and 10 years later. The broadcast burning was more severe on one cutting unit than the other two. Vegetation was essentially the same on unburned and burned plots in the less severely burned cutting unit both before and after the treatment. However, the vegetation was altered on the more severely burned plots.
