The National Smoke Forum 2016 is a separate event being planned in conjunction with Wildland Fire Canada 2016, held on the Friday following the main conference program. The target audience includes: fire managers, meteorologists, air quality advisors, health and emergency response agencies, and First Nations communities affected by fires and evacuations.

It will feature the following session topics:

  • Exposure assessment (how smoky is it?)
  • Intervensions (what can we do about it?)
  • Case studies (how can we do better?)
