LANDFIRE and the Northwest Fire Science Consortium are presenting a webinar on a new study recently completed by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and the US Forest Service's Region 6 Ecology Program. This study assessed forest restoration needs across eastern Washington and eastern and southwestern Oregon.
Mark Stern, TNC Forest Conservation Director, will provide the introduction and discuss his experiences as a particant in several forest collaboratives. Chris Zanger, TNC Program Director, and Ryan Haugo, TNC Senior Forest Ecologist, will present the bulk of the presentation that summarizes this study, which can be viewed in the January 2015 issue of Forest Ecology and Management.
