Panelists work in the wildfire world in a diversity ways, whether that is directly with fire through wildfire management and intentional fire, or through wildfire focused careers in the fields of social and ecological science, advocacy and policy, and program management. We are excited to share a conversation with these panelists to explore the opportunities within and beyond the wildland firefighting world so that we may continue to cultivate an intentional fire community that values one another and the landscapes we work within. Panelists will answer questions considering ideas on allyship, pivotal times in their careers, and why they decided to enter and stay in the wildfire world.

This year's panel members:

  • Dr. Melinda Adams, The University of Kansas
  • Rebecca Roller, the US Forest Service
  • Naomi Mills, US Forest Service International Programs
  • Kelly Martin, the International Association of Wildland Fire
  • Colleen Rossier, Senior Research an Policy Advisor, Karuk Tribe
