Addressing wildfire risk to communities increasingly requires that stakeholders coordinate and collaborate their work in new ways to manage wildfire risk effectively.
Who should participate? Practitioners, managers, and community leaders whose work is directly or indirectly related to managing wildfire risk to communities with experience and expertise in fuels management, development zoning & standards, homeowner engagement, emergency response and preparedness.
What? Join us for a 2-hour interactive workshop to apply a new Grammar of Coordination and Collaboration (GCC) framework to identify and explore successful partnerships in wildfire risk management. The Grammar of Coordination and Collaboration (GCC) provides a common vocabulary for articulating these successes, identifying obstacles, and accelerating the transfer of these lessons across the western US. Participants in the workshop will interact in a novel virtual discussion forum and contribute to a new GCC Handbook for coordinated and collaborative wildfire management partnerships. A draft will be mailed to registered participants prior to the workshop and act as desk reference during the workshop.
