Dr. Susan Prichard will provide a brief overview of the Fuel Characteristics Classification System and how fuelbeds are mapped and updated in LANDFIRE. We will then explore a few ways that FCCS fuelbeds can be used for basic fire and smoke modeling and related back to mapped treatment units and landscapes.
