In this book, Langer augments her previous work on mindfulness and artistic nature with insights on creativity. Langer discusses how creativity is not a rare trait, but a part of every person’s makeup. While all people have the ability to express themselves creatively, many people undervalue themselves, which serves to undermine expressions of creativity. By discussing a number of her own experiments and those of her colleagues, Langer discusses mindfulness and its relation to creativity. Through these experiments, a number of insights are revealed, such as benefits of uncertainty and how people learn to ignore differences.
