Interagency Fuels Treatment Decision Support System (IFTDSS) is a web-based software and data integration framework that organizes previously existing and newly developed fire and fuels software applications to make fuels treatment planning and analysis more efficient and effective. IFTDSS has been developed for fuels treatment specialists by fuels treatment specialists. IFTDSS provides a single portal for access to several sources of data and models for fuels treatment planning. IFTDSS reduces or eliminates the amount of time a user needs to spend learning new interfaces and transforming data, it provides workflows that organize the business needs of fuels treatment planners, it allows planners to efficiently reuse and share their work products, and it provides a consistent analysis framework for all users. IFTDSS is being developed by the Sonoma Technology, Inc., with direction and funding provided by the Joint Fire Science Program and the National Wildfire Coordinating Group Fuels Management Committee.
